Seven miles down the road in Cornersville
Cornersville is about 11 minutes from Lewisburg by road, the closest town we work after our own. It’s small, 1,228 people at the 2020 Census, and it posts very little about trash, so most of the rules come from Marshall County.

Where does Cornersville’s junk go?
The county drop-off nearest town is Marshall County Convenience Center #4, at 4050 Ostella Rd near Five Points. It’s open six days a week and takes household bags, furniture, mattresses, scrap metal and big appliances like refrigerators and washers. Tires, hazardous waste and anything from a business get turned away, and tires have to go up to 611 Hawkins Dr in Lewisburg.
So the center works if you own a truck and the load is household stuff. If you don’t, or if it’s a garage full of mixed junk, that’s what our junk removal is for.
Does the town run a bulky pickup?
Not one we could find. Cornersville doesn’t post a bulky-item or brush schedule online, and there’s no demolition permit page either. Town Hall is the place to ask, at 931-293-4482, before you drag a couch to the road or knock down an old shed.
Hauling runs both ways
A lot of what we do out here is carrying things in. We pick up and deliver gravel, sand, dirt and mulch, bring home a piece of furniture someone bought across the county, and move cars and off-road vehicles on the trailer. Our hauling page lists the rest.
Going the other direction, we carry off the old couch, dresser or mattress the new one replaced, so it doesn’t sit in the carport for a month.
A town named for four corners
Cornersville was settled in 1807 and incorporated in 1830, and the town’s own history says the name comes from four county corners that met near the old toll gate lot. It’s close enough to Lewisburg that a Cornersville pickup and a job at home can share a day.
