Which pieces do we take?
Couches, dressers and mattresses from homes. Office desks, cubicles and commercial furniture from businesses. A single piece is a real job to us: one day this year we fit a single-item pickup in around a 1-bedroom move, and a red couch left an apartment lot strapped down on our trailer.
If the furniture is going to a new address instead of out of your life, that’s a move, and we do those too.
The day Bakin Cakes closed
June 12 was bittersweet. Bakin Cakes was closing its doors, and we were trusted with carrying out and hauling away what was left: the commercial equipment, display coolers, glass fixtures and store furnishings. Glass and refrigerated cases are the kind of thing you don’t want three friends and a borrowed truck handling.
A business that’s closing usually has more in it than furniture. When the space has to be emptied wall to wall (stock, paperwork, trash, the break room), the cleanouts page covers restaurants, offices and stores.
And a pool table?
That was June 12 as well, a separate job. We picked up a pool table and delivered it to its new home, every piece arriving secure and undamaged. Pool tables are on our list going either way: to a new room, or off for good. Tell us whether it’s staying in one piece, whether it’s upstairs or in a basement, and how wide the doors are.
Downsizing?
That’s where a lot of furniture ends up needing a new home or no home at all. On May 21 we moved a family from a 3-bedroom house into a 2-bedroom apartment. If you’re making a move like that, sort the furniture into three groups before the day: coming with you, going to family or friends, and going away. We’ll move the first group, and we can haul off the last one on the same day or come back for it. The middle group is up to you, though we can deliver it if it’s local.
What about old mattresses?
We take them, one at a time or a stack. In Nashville, Metro’s convenience centers charge $12 for each mattress or box spring, allow 4 a month, and expect you to unload them yourself (Metro Waste Services, as read in October 2026). The Nashville page has the rest of Metro’s rules. Closer to home, Marshall County’s centers list mattresses among what they accept from residents. Either way someone has to get it out of the bedroom, bent around the stair rail and up into a truck, and that part is what you’d be paying us for.
Getting a price
Call or text (931) 675-2475, or use the form, and tell us what the pieces are, how many, which floor, and whether there’s a tight hallway or a turn on the landing. The quote costs nothing and the price is upfront. If the furniture is sitting among other junk (boxes, an old grill, carpet), say so, and it can all go on one load as junk removal.
Answers
Furniture removal: what people ask
Will you come out for just one couch?
Yes. Single items are jobs we take; one day this year we paired a single-item pickup with a 1-bedroom move. A couch, a recliner, or a dresser that won’t make the trip to the new place all count. Text (931) 675-2475 with the piece and the address and we’ll price it.
Do you haul away old mattresses and box springs?
Yes, a single mattress or a whole stack of them. Mattresses and box springs are on our furniture removal list. Lean them near a door if you can; if they’re upstairs, tell us and we’ll carry them down. A bed frame can be taken apart on the spot so it goes out with them.
Can you remove office desks and cubicles?
Yes. Office desks, cubicles and other commercial furniture are on our list. Tell us how many workstations there are, which floor they’re on, whether there’s an elevator or a loading dock, and the hours we can get into the building. Call or text (931) 675-2475 for a free quote.
Can you take a pool table?
Yes, either to a new room or away for good. On June 12 we picked up a pool table and delivered it, every piece arriving secure and undamaged. Tell us whether it’s staying in one piece or coming apart, whether stairs are involved, and where it’s headed.
What happens to a store’s fixtures when it closes?
We carry them out and haul them away. When Bakin Cakes closed on June 12, we removed its commercial equipment, display coolers, glass fixtures and store furnishings. If the space also needs emptying of stock, boxes and trash, that’s a cleanout, and it can be handled on the same visit.
How much does furniture removal cost?
The quote is free and the price is given up front. Call or text (931) 675-2475, or send the form, with what the furniture is, how many pieces, which floor it’s on, and any tight turns on the way out. We don’t post a rate card on this site.
