What does the Sand Hill Rd recycling center take?

One pickup-truck load per visit, and no box trucks. The Rutherford County Recycling Center at 300 Sand Hill Rd (615-898-7739) won’t take bulk items on Sundays, and it refuses yard waste, paint, TVs, computers and propane tanks.

A one-pickup limit turns a whole-house cleanout into a week of trips, and no bulk items on Sunday takes the easiest day off the table. Our cleanouts save you those trips.

TVs, computers and propane

The Sand Hill Rd center turns all three away, and paint with them. Rutherford County lists electronics among what its Leanna Convenience Center takes, at 4303 Sulphur Springs Rd in Murfreesboro, though that’s a drive from La Vergne. Propane tanks are a separate problem, so ask the county before you load one. The old couch, the broken treadmill and the boxes from the garage are ordinary junk removal.

Brush and yard waste

Since the center refuses yard waste, brush goes elsewhere: free drop-off at the Rutherford County Landfill or the Murfreesboro Mulch Facility, according to the city’s recycling page. The city also has a Brush Truck page we didn’t get to read, so ask about curbside brush.

Demolition permits in La Vergne

The city’s fee schedule lists a Demolition Permit, which we saw in an excerpt of the Codes page. Codes is at 5175 Murfreesboro Rd, 615-213-2624. Get that sorted and we’ll handle the demolition and the debris. Interior work counts as much as outdoor: drywall, a kitchen or a bathroom, as well as decks and fences.

Moving in or out of La Vergne

We do moves of every size here, from a single item to a 3-bedroom house, and we unload rental trucks and storage units when all you need is the labor. Smyrna is the next town over on our list.
